For the first time, Nakamura Keith Haring Collection is showing our collection outside of Japan at the National Museum of History in Taiwan.
The exhibition consists of 133 works from our collection such as drawing, lithography, sculpture, photography and more.
The 1980’s short-lived artist, Keith Haring, through his decade-short yet immense collection of artwork, shows us hope and even almost-mad eagerness to live.
This time, we want to show you the multiple paths of his career as an exhibition titled Multiplexism.
At the exhibition, you will see the work which put him on the map of the early 80’s pop art scene, Subway Drawing, the series of 17 works, Blueprint Drawings—which Haring himself called his time capsule—his biggest lithographical work, Retrospect, a series of 20 works, the Story of Red and Blue, the work dedicated to children, and many more, all of which a highly selective choice from our collection.
The National Museum of History opened in 1955 as an important center of Taiwan’s culture and art. Please enjoy the world of Keith Haring in the grand and monumental gallery space.
